Worship is at the heart of our church; it is the center where we gather together to praise God and the center from where we radiate out into service in the world. Serving as a liturgical leader gives us the opportunity to create “a sacred space for spiritual transformation in Christ.” Liturgical leadership plays a vital role in creating sacred space that enables others and ourselves to experience and worship the presence of God in corporate community.
On Liturgical Leadership Day, Saturday, February 22, 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon, we will walk through the liturgy reviewing our roles and the meaning of our liturgical actions. Liturgical leaders are all those who serve in worship services: Eucharistic Ministers; acolytes; crucifer; lectors; choir members and musicians; altar guild set up; ushers and greeters. We will meet in the Sanctuary.
