Please come! Join us for Madregalia’s!! New Year’s concert showcasing the rich and intricate sounds of Renaissance and early Baroque music, brought to life by violins, viols, recorders and more by members of the Pastyme Consort. With the unique tones of shawms, dulcians, and a trio of sackbuts led by Sue Mudge, the performance immerses the audience in the music traditions of centuries past. As a special treat, Greg Smith will enliven the concert on natural trumpet.
The program will consist of a variety of vocal and instrumental works for Christmas and the new year including major works by Giovanni Gabrieli and Michael Praetorius.
There will be both an evening concert on Friday, January 10, at 7:00 pm and a matinee Saturday, January 11, at 2:30 pm here at All Saints’ Episcopal Church, Ninth and Dolores, Carmel, CA.
The suggested donation is $25.
We look forward to seeing you in this continued celebration of 20 years of Madregalia!!
