I began my journey November 15,1945 in Montgomery, Alabama. I remember very clearly playing in our yard in December,1955 when my parents informed me that Mrs. Parks had been arrested for refusing to relinquish her seat on a Montgomery city bus to a white male. My first introduction to the Civil Rights struggle began at Holt Street Baptist Church in December, 1955 where the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr was elected President of the Montgomery Improvement Association. I continue to be an ardent supporter of human rights and equality. Thanks be to God that my faith in Jesus, The Christ has kept me safe from any permanent harm.

I was fortunate to receive my professional education at the University of Missouri (Physics) and Stanford University (Computer Science). I began my professional career at Merrill Lynch in New York City and concluded my career as a Senior Manager at The International Business Machines Corporation. I have travelled extensively and lived as a working employee in London, Paris, and Amsterdam in The Netherlands. I have served as a member of several corporate boards over the years including The Community Board Behavioral Health Services at Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula.
