The praise of God through offerings of music does more than ornament our worship with beauty, it is a medium for awakening our hearts to the presence of the Spirit in our midst.
Congregational singing is an integral part of our worship at 8, 9:15, and 10:30 AM every Sunday, and at special liturgies throughout the church year. All Saints Choir under the direction of Dr. Jean Widaman. Our organist, Richard Wilson, performs on an Allen digital organ and our recently acquired Steinway concert grand. Our 9:15 informal service in Seccombe Hall is led by the ever-adventurous 9:15 Band, a guitar, percussion and keyboard ensemble that also provides music for family worship services at Christmas and Easter. We offer Choral Evensong at 5:30 PM on the first Sunday of each month.In addition to our regular musical offerings, our worship is graced on occasions throughout the year by guest artists drawn from around the country as well as the rich musical resources of the Monterey Bay area. We have hosted concerts by Chanticleer, the Berkeley Gospel Choir, and youth choirs from England.
Thanks to the beauty of our church and grounds, the superior acoustics of our sanctuary, and our convenient location one block west of the Sunset Center for the Performing Arts in the heart of Carmel, All Saints is a popular venue for concerts and recitals We enjoy a long association with the Carmel Bach Festival which uses our sanctuary for afternoon recitals and Sunday night candlelight concerts, and the chamber music series of the Carmel Music Society
